Can I pay to be listed higher?
No. There is no paid tier and no sponsored placement in any list. This is the one thing we will not negotiate on, and it is the reason the rest of the site is worth reading.
How do you decide the rating?
Blind editorial testing against an identical brief, combined with verified user reviews. Both components are shown separately on each tool page, so you can weigh them yourself.
How often is pricing checked?
Continuously, and every tool page shows its own check date. If a check fails, the page says the figure is stale rather than hiding it.
My tool is listed and the details are wrong.
Use the report-an-error link on the listing. Corrections from vendors are checked the same way as corrections from readers, usually within two working days.
Do you accept guest posts?
No. Everything on the blog is written by the desk, so the testing method stays consistent across comparisons.
Why is a tool I like not listed?
Either nobody has submitted it, or it failed review — most often because the site was unreachable when we checked. Submit it and we will look again.
